Is it bad to wear acrylic nails?

They damage your natural nail and when you take them off it takes a while for your own nails to grow out. Also, you need to watch out where you get them put on, if it is not clean you can get fungus growing up under your nail. Your natural nail then may come completely off.

But they do protect your cuticle and look really good and are hard to break. Is it bad to wear acrylic nails?
acrylic nails are bad for your nails.

anything you put on top of your nails for a long period of time tend to damage and weakend the nail. ( except nail polish)

if you wear acrylic nails alll the time %26amp; get fills it will ruin your nails.

It doesnt matter if you take them off yourself or if the nail place does it for you, its still damages your real nail.

the nail place will usually cover up the damage and help for the nail to heal though.

but if you really want acrylic wear them, just i recommend for you to go to the nail place to get them off ( if you dont know how to take them off properly %26amp; make your real nails look good/healthy afterwards ) and dont get fills let your real nails breathe for awhile. than get them again. Is it bad to wear acrylic nails?
Yes....it will damage your real nail makign it brittle and very dry....dont get acrylics!
I been getting my nails done for years cuz they looked so ugly if i didn't get them done. they was always brittle and would never grow and if they did grow they would bend and chip and the list goes on. NOW, my nails are longer than ever, hard and most importantly healthy. My secret which shouldn't be a secret at all is that I started taking One A Day vitamins every single day and used a very good nail polish (a thick coat) to keep them from getting water inside and other stuff that weakens the nails. And eat more fruits and vegetables. I dont really know what exactly helped but its been now about 5 months since i did this change and my nails grew from nothing (where they hurt hella bad if i touched them) to almost a quarter inch long and still growing. :)
no, but i don't personally like them
I've heard that it can ruin your natural nails and that if you ever decide to go without artificial nails, your own nails won't grow right. I don't know if there is any truth in this. I do know it's true that some people develop rashes from the chemicals that they use and sometimes people get infections from improperly cleaned equipment.
I'm going to think about that right after I solve the Palestinian problem.
after like a week yes, makes my nails all crap underneath..
No, but taking them off might be.

Nails will be weak when you take them off cause they shave the nail down otherwise no you'll be fine.
It's not bad if you keep up with them. They look nice, but when they are removed your real nails will be very damaged and brittle.
Aside from them messing up your real nails, looking extremely fake, being tacky, and a waste of money. No they are not bad.
No, but be careful when you take 'em, take it off the proper way, my mom pulls 'em off and my nail beds hurt and burn for a week, no joke.
yes

you will eventually do damage to your real nail-bed and its very difficult to get that back
it's only bad if they aren't kept clean, or if the shop uses an illegal strong smelling chemical called mma it can be very dangerous.
well, after you take them off, it makes your real nails soft and bendy.
It will definitely effect the health of your natural nails underneath. If you have acrylics long enough, it will weaken them and sometime leave indentations. I have also heard of people having fungus problems from certain salons that don't change out their tools and solutions properly and frequently.
Sometimes, the acrylic damages your nails because they file down your natural nail if you get it done very often. It will eventually make your nail so weak that it will hurt because it's so thin.
not at all
