Is it ok for a guy for a guy to paint his toes if he had a nail condition?

I saw this dude with painted toes, and I asked him why his nails are painted, and he said he had a nail condition. The paint covers it. They were black, but if he was doing it cause he was gay, they would most likely be red or a different color.Even if he doesn't have a nail problem, why are people so stereotypical by saying any guy who paints his nails is gay? I know this guy who likes to wear women's clothes, and shave his body and all that, but he's straight. He has a girlfriend. She's ok with it,and he only wear that stuff in his house. Is it ok for a guy for a guy to paint his toes if he had a nail condition?
Yeah, it's alright. I have a friend who does that too. He has this weird toe fungus thing that makes his nails all these weird colors, so he paints them so they look normal. Nobody really knows about it. Sometimes I forget that he's wearing nail polish. It's not agy, he just doesn't want people to notice. Is it ok for a guy for a guy to paint his toes if he had a nail condition?
Most people i know would say that it's not OK for a man to wear nail polish of any color for any reason. That said, i do think it's OK for a man to wear polish for any reason--it can be about hygiene or it can be about decorating oneself (like tattoos or whatnot--only less permanent). Many ';goths'; are into painting their nails black (both male and female). Most men do not, even the non-straight ones--although some do. Is it wrong? I would say no--but i would think society in general would say otherwise.
If you want to paint your nails, paint your nails -- especially if you're covering up a nail condition.

The stereotype is because people assume that all gay men are effeminate, and women paint their nails. Ergo, a man who paints his nails (engages in ';girly'; behavior) is gay, because all gay men engage in ';girly'; behavior.
It's OK for anybody to paint his toes for any reason. It is not really OK to be asking somebody why his nails are painted, and it's entirely wrong to be assuming you know what color a gay man would paint his toes.

I dont believe that people say that any guy who paints his nails is gay. I'm pretty sure that the over 17 population has better things to worry about, and we have better ways of knowing whether somebody is gay.
If he could have found a brown or flesh colored nail polish to conceal his nail condition I'm sure he would have. I doubt they make a color like that. When it comes to cross dressing there is no way to know why some even straight men like to do that. I know a guy, he's straight, married with children and all but his one thing is from time to time he likes to wear his wife's underwear because he likes the way the silky material feels next to his junk. It takes all kinds.
Of course a guy can paint their nails if he wants to... there are no laws prohibiting it. Same with women's clothing... if it makes you happy, do it! (as long as it's legal...)
It is fine for anybody to paint their nails for any reason.
no
YES!! that's ok.. I think that stuff you're talking about is called 'Loceryl'. It's applied like a nail polish, so whatever's in it (the medicinal ingredients) can sink through to the bed of the nail where the actual problem is. It's used to cure nail rot. If 'this guy' has nail rot his toenails would be discoloured anyway!

Also, even if it is only affecting one toenail, it is reccomended that you apply Loceryl to all toenails in case the condition has spread.

So.. of course it's ok.. particularly for a nail condition!!

On the last sentences of your question there.. I'm a crossdresser too and I know for certain I'm straight. I just really like wearing dresses and tights and ballet flats etc. ;)
