Dropped 2 drops of nail polish remover on my wood table, surface is rough & dull, how can I get it out???

The wood is mahogany with a shiny finish and my daughter dropped 2 small drops of nail polish remover and now the part of the spots are rough (seems like the grain raise) and it's dull. How can I get it out and make it shine without having to refinish the entire table?Dropped 2 drops of nail polish remover on my wood table, surface is rough %26amp; dull, how can I get it out???
Oops! I would try a product designed to coat the wood surface with a liquid chemical you apply to a dry cloth and then rub into the wood to help camoflauge scratches and stains. I just can't for the life of me remember the name of the product! I have used to it on my antique furniture and it works really well. It comes in different shades of brown to match the actual color of your wood surface. It's kind of a temporary fix, as opposed to actually having to sand and refinish the entire table. Check at a hardware type store. They should sell it. It comes in a tall glass bottle. I think it's called ';Old English'; scratch remover. Good luck!
