I recently went on a interview and nailed it, had lunch with the owner took a drug test that same day signed the paperwork for the background check and was told they would contact me mid the next week, its been a week and a half. I鈥檝e made three phone calls and have sent three emails and haven鈥檛 received any response(rude). By law do they have to disclose why I wasn鈥檛 chosen? Im in CAI recently went on an interview and nailed it, had lunch with the owner took a drug test that same day signed ?

Have you signed contract or job agreement with the owner? If not, then forget it and move on.
Assuming your background check came back clean, you may have to determine what it means to nail an interview. You may have nailed the interview if you were looking to have a new friend or social contact. But, that doesn't automatically mean that he thought you were best for the job.

After a week and a half, it would be considerate of them to respond as to the status of the opportunity. Unless they have simply decided not to hire someone at this time, it would be helpful to you to know why they didn't choose you, if they are willing to be open and honest. Be honest, and calm and say that you really thought the interview went well and that it would be important for you to know what factors influenced their decision. Some employers don't want to discuss this much further than a really shallow level as most candidates don't react well. Again, by staying relaxed and non-confrontational, you just might glean some valuable information from him.

Remember, just because the interview went well, in the last couple of days, the owner's wife may have pressed him to hire a niece or nephew and now he doesn't want to address that with you.
Only thing I can think of is something came up in your background that they didn't like.

By law they don't have to give you any reason.
