and if it is, can you help me a bit? i have this idea for me and my brother (he skates, i snowboard), but i dont have enough money to buy one, or to buy the less basic materials (i dont know where to get those anyway).Is it possible to build a skate/snowboard box with just plywood and nails?
Plywood and screws (not nails) could make a basics snowboard box, but the top would not last very long with the snowboard edges scraping across the wood. Make sure to ';sink'; the screws into the top sheet so the snowboard doesn't get damaged.
Better yet, when your plywood box is done, put a sheet of HDPE on the top with counter sunk screws and it will be a much better box and will last much longer. You can find get sheets of HDPE at a local plastic store or on the web:
