Okay, I am seriously semi-obsessive compulsive and I ALWAYS chip off my fingernail polish. It relieves my stress but it is SO bad for your nails! Mine are all flaky and weak. Don't do it, use remover.

Chipping off yourself is bad cause you can ruin your nail bed.
Nail polish remover is okay cause you can get the stuff with no acetone and thats okay for your nails

idk but i know that chipping you nails can sometimes make them break in layers.
