I understand toenails should be cut straight across to prevent them from ingrowing, but fingernails should be cut/filed in a curve that mimics the base of the nail. This is supposed to be the most flattering shape for nails, and I agree :)Is it true that I should cut my nails in a straight line, rather than curved round like my fingertip?
You should. The nail grows straighter and more evenly and just looks better. It also gets stronger. Clipping your nails straight is the best way to combat ingrown nails... and to prevent them! It is harder to do though since nail clippers are curved. What I do is clip as straight as I can then file out the rough spots. Is it true that I should cut my nails in a straight line, rather than curved round like my fingertip?
you dont have to but its considered more stylish, i give it a little curve, but mostly straight.
Yes it is true....If u cut them curved there is more chance of them in-growing
Wouldn't that depend on your finger nail shape?
